THE PROCESS

I collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and follow the ADDIE model to design and develop learning solutions that meet the needs of the intended audience profile. I also utilize Action Mapping and Story Design. I build strong relationships with SMEs by establishing trust and communicating our shared purpose. I conduct research and utilize empathy mapping to build an audience profile to ensure the course is directly tailored to their educational needs that puts the learner first. In addition, I evaluate and analyze the results of learning programs and modify them based on the collected data following the Kirkpatrick Model.

Example of Action Mapping Strategy.pdf

Action Mapping

To help plan the learning solution, I utilize the strategy Action Mapping by Cathy Moore.

First, as a team we write the business goal. Then, we discuss action items the learners need to do in order to meet the business goal. We analyze what makes each action item difficult to do. I tag these answers by categorizing them into the following: Environment, Skill, Knowleddge, and Motivation. Lastly, we discuss the information the learner needs to know in order to complete each action item.

Empathy Mapping

I use empathy mapping to create learner personas. It helps determine what the learner understands and their perspective. I also focus on their pain points, unspoken goals, and their gains. I view the empahty map as a living document and I am always updating and adjusting it based on the target audience.
